Foundry College Tulsa Program Accepting Its Third Cohort of Learners

By Foundry College on March 04, 2021

Participating Tulsans attend live, online courses to advance career opportunities with no-cost tuition and $500 cash bonus

San Francisco — March 4, 2021 — The Foundry College Tulsa program is now accepting its third cohort of learners, preparing them to excel in their careers by offering no-cost tuition for programs that pair the durable professional skills that employers seek with marketable, job-ready credentials in Salesforce administration and project management. Additionally, learners have the opportunity to earn a $500 cash bonus upon completion of the program. Classes for this cohort begin the week of May 3.

“We are excited to extend this opportunity to yet another cohort of learners from Tulsa,” said Dr. Akiba Covitz, president and CEO of Foundry College. “Learners already in the program have expressed high satisfaction, and many of those learners are poised to graduate this April. In fact, 94% of respondents in a recent student survey said that they have a better outlook for their career progression because of the Foundry College Tulsa program. We are extremely proud of the success they have achieved and look forward to helping more Tulsans achieve that same level of success.”

Foundry College Tulsa is designed to lower entry barriers to post-secondary education and give more Tulsans the opportunity to succeed professionally. Other than a high school diploma or equivalency, there are no prerequisites for eligibility and the application process is brief.

Each credentialed certificate program at Foundry College Tulsa is valued at $6,000 and is generously underwritten by the George Kaiser Family Foundation and Atento Capital. Both credentialed certificate programs can be completed in as little as eight months, and students attend live, online classes two or three times a week, for 1.5 hours each. Classes are offered at night for students with day-time commitments. Outside of class, students can expect to spend 2-3 hours per week on additional learning.

Applications for the current cohort are due March 29, 2021. Courses will begin the week of May 3. To be eligible for the program, applicants must be 18 years or older, have earned a high school diploma or equivalency, and live in the Tulsa metro region.
